1. Introduction
MDhealth provides a platform for medical professionals to offer online and in-person consultations, medical advice, and healthcare services. By registering as a doctor on MDhealth, you agree to comply with the following policy terms, which ensure transparency, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
2. Doctor Registration and Verification
1. Eligibility:
- Doctors must hold valid medical degrees and licenses in their respective countries.
- Specialization certificates and additional qualifications must be verifiable.
2. Verification Process:
- Doctors must upload their valid medical license, specialization certificates, and professional credentials for verification.
- MDhealth reserves the right to conduct periodic re-verification.
3. Profile Information:
- Doctors must provide accurate personal and professional details in their profiles.
- Use of real names, genuine photographs, and official credentials is mandatory.
- The use of fake or misleading identities will result in immediate account suspension.
3. Use of Personal Content
A. Photographs & Identity:
- Doctors must upload their own photographs on their profiles.
- AI-generated or stock images are not allowed.
B. Content Ownership:
- Doctors are responsible for all content they upload, including descriptions, consultations, treatment plans, and articles.
- Any use of plagiarized or copied content may result in profile suspension.
C. Certificate Display:
- Doctors must upload authentic and verifiable certificates that support their claimed expertise.
- Fraudulent certifications will lead to legal action and permanent banning.
D. Professional Conduct & Ethical Standards
1. Patient Interaction:
- Doctors must maintain a professional, respectful, and empathetic approach toward patients.
- Any form of rude, unethical, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
2. Medical Advice & Accuracy:
- Doctors must provide accurate, evidence-based, and up-to-date medical advice.
- Misleading or harmful recommendations can lead to penalties, including legal consequences.
3. Confidentiality:
- Doctors must protect patient data and adhere to privacy regulations (such as GDPR and HIPAA where applicable).
- Sharing patient data outside the MDhealth platform without consent is strictly prohibited.
4. Honest Representation:
- Doctors must not exaggerate or misrepresent their qualifications or expertise.
- False claims about treatments, products, or results are strictly forbidden.
5. Consultation Guidelines
1. Online & In-Person Consultations:
- Doctors must adhere to scheduled appointment times and notify patients in case of any delays.
- Patients must be informed clearly about treatment limitations and potential risks.
2. Prescriptions & Treatment Plans:
- All prescriptions must comply with local medical regulations.
- Doctors must not prescribe controlled substances or prohibited drugs unless legally authorized.
3. Emergency Situations:
- MDhealth does not support emergency medical care. Doctors must advise patients to visit hospitals in life-threatening situations.
6. Liability and Legal Compliance
1. Medical Liability:
- MDhealth provides a platform for consultations but does not take responsibility for the accuracy or consequences of medical advice given by doctors.
- Doctors are legally accountable for their medical opinions, prescriptions, and treatments.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
- Doctors must comply with local healthcare laws in their respective countries.
- Violation of any legal or ethical standard may result in account termination and reporting to relevant medical authorities.
7. Prohibited Activities
Doctors must not engage in the following:
- False advertising of medical treatments.
- Discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, or disability.
- Soliciting patients outside of MDhealth.
- Sharing misleading medical information.
- Unethical behavior, including harassment or exploitation of patients.
8. Account Suspension & Termination
MDhealth reserves the right to suspend or terminate any doctor’s account if:
- Fake credentials or misleading content is detected.
- A doctor is reported for misconduct by patients.
- A doctor violates medical ethics or laws.
- A doctor fails repeated verification checks.
9. Amendments and Updates
MDhealth may update this policy from time to time. Doctors will be notified of major changes, and continued use of the platform implies acceptance of the updated terms.
